Position Details

• Position: Promotions Coordinator (104.9 Virgin Radio and 100.3 The Bear)
• Location: 18520 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton
• Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
• Hours: 37.5 hours/week, with some evenings and weekends

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in planning, organizing, and executing promotions and contests to maximize ratings and revenue
2. Schedule and maintain station on-air promotion assets and inventory
3. Attend station and client promotions as required
4. Contribute to and monitor social media engagement
5. Supervise part-time staff as needed
6. Collaborate with departments on promotions, programming, or sales initiatives
7. Perform other duties as assigned by Promotions Director

Qualifications

1. Post-secondary education in marketing, promotions, or related field; experience considered
2. Excellent communication and professional demeanor
3. Ability to work well in a team and interact with internal and external customers
4. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
5. Experience in promotional event planning
6. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Publisher
7. Full Class 5 driver’s license
8. Interest or experience in advertising/marketing is a plus
9. Strong social media skills and content creation ability
