Job Summary:

Reporting to the Program Director, Ontario CLRI at Baycrest, the primary role of the Manager is to direct the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of multiple projects and centre deliverables. This leadership position is accountable for the overall performance of projects including costs, schedule, quality, project status, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures. The Projects and Evaluation Manager will enable processes to ensure that all members of project teams work collaboratively and individually to meet deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-design project plans with attention to scope, goals, budget, time, risk, and dependencies in collaboration with project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain full project plans within resource constraints and in response to emerging priorities.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Ensure proper financial, legal, and ethical management of projects in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Monitor plan implementation and lead analysis and reporting of project evaluations.
  • Represent and act as Centre lead for Ontario CLRI Program-level evaluation activities.
  • Establish and ensure proper execution of information, communication, and data management processes for the Centre.
  • Coordinate contracts, proposals, and relationships with vendors as needed.
  • Supervise administrative coordinator and project assistant roles.
  • Co-lead or lead Centre team meetings.
  • Prepare reports and contribute to presentations and manuscripts.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years’ related experience.
  • Specialized training in project management and evaluation theory, approaches, and tools.
  • Excellent project management with the ability to adapt and co-design responsive solutions in a changing context to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task, produce, and coordinate competing deliverables with tight timelines.
  • Excellent skills in communication, team building, networking, relationship-building, facilitation, and negotiation.
  • Familiarity and background working with education, evaluation, research, and healthcare teams.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and project management software.
  • Ability to assess and learn new technologies related to workflow, file sharing, virtual work, and data and asset management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to proactively identify and respond to problems in a timely and effective manner.
