Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your analytical and technical expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and innovative teammates.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of our signalling systems by validating that they meet legal and AREMA standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., design teams, experts from other departments, and project staff), develop and execute test plans, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of defining and implementing project testing strategies, but also mentoring junior team members and validating their competency levels.
We’ll look to you for:
Contributing to the definition and implementation of the Project Testing Strategy and Verification and Validation (V&V) Plan
Developing and executing test plans for in-house and site activities
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align on V&V methodologies
Configuring and managing test assets, such as test benches and instrumentation
Providing detailed progress records and test reports
Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment requirements
Supporting continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback sessions

Degree in Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in Verification and Validation in a railway environment
Experience or understanding of Interlocking and Control Systems
Knowledge of Metrolinx and AREMA standards
Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environment requirements
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English
Ability to mentor and develop junior team members
P. Eng or eligibility to obtain P. Eng in Ontario is a strong asset
Experience in a highly complex and normative environment (railway signalling, aerospace, defense, nuclear) is an asset
