The Ministry of Highways is seeking a Project Supervisor based in Saskatoon or Regina. The role involves managing small highway and airport design and construction projects independently and supporting project managers on larger projects. The Project Supervisor will lead and provide expertise to technical staff, organize, and schedule project activities.

Qualifications include:

  • Knowledge of road engineering software
  • Supervisory skills in road construction projects
  • Understanding of concepts, principles, standards, practices, materials, and equipment used in the design, construction, and maintenance of provincial highways
  • Knowledge of the tendering process, contracts, contract law, and application of standards and specifications
  • Proficiency in standard field survey practices and use of survey equipment
  • Knowledge of Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety regulations, Labour Regulations, and safe operating procedures for construction activities
  • A valid driver’s license

To qualify, candidates typically hold an Applied Sciences and Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering and have experience in roadway design and construction OR possess Grade 12, including geometry and trigonometry, supplemented by department training courses on surveying, asphalt plant and equipment, roadway design software, and extensive on-the-job training.
