Job summary

On Side is seeking a Project Supervisor in Calgary to oversee complex restoration projects and lead field teams. You will coordinate with Project Managers, manage budgets, and ensure safe, timely completion of work on site.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing large and complex commercial and residential rebuilds/restoration projects.
• Dealing with permits and city representatives on commercial and residential projects.
• Collaborating with Project Managers to organize scope of work.
• Communicating with Project Managers, direct reports, and homeowners.
• Working within a budget to get a job done.
• Leadership and Coaching Field Staff
• Health & Safety on jobs sites
• Leading large teams on site (sometimes multiple sites) including in house staff, sub-trades while collaborating with other tradespeople, vendors, clients, and environmental consultants to achieve outcomes
• Monitor and maintain schedules, communicating with stakeholders regularly to ensure customer satisfaction
• Documentation of site visits and job progress
• Site Safety Inspections

Project Supervisors work directly with our Project Managers to ensure the correct execution and timely completion of projects. Supervising operations personnel and working on various projects in the field ensures the Project Supervisor is always on the move. With their extensive construction/restoration experience, strong organizational abilities, and passion for getting work done on time and under budget, the Project Supervisor is key to On Side’s success.

• Salary Range: $32 - $40 /hour

What You Bring

• 5 years of Construction or Restoration related experience
• 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experienced working with DocuSketch
• Leadership abilities and a preference for teamwork
• Experience in the restoration industryExcellent time management and organizational skills
• Previous experience with flood and fire damage
• Knowledge of building materials and schedule of timeline to complete tasks
• Commercial and residential experience - renovation/restoration vs new build
• Superior communication skills: dealing with homeowners, Project Managers, Stakeholders and employees
• Finish Carpentry experience
• Ability to work within a budget
• Work ethic and the ability to bring this out in others
• Tech savvy, ability to document and upload work progress
• Strong Organizational skills
• Valid driver’s licence and a clean criminal record (we do check)
