About The Role

The Project Specialist, Standards Content Development is a key member of the HSO Standards team, supporting the development of high-quality, evidence-based standards that promote safety and quality in health and social services. This role will work across the team to conduct environmental scanning and literature reviews, synthesize findings, and manage content.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, excellent writing ability, familiarity with online content management systems and a high level of adaptability. This position also supports cross-functional collaboration and contributes to the continuous improvement of content development processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conducts environmental scans and synthesizes published literature to inform content development.
  • Supports the maintenance of content in multiple languages, including coordination of translations.
  • Manages content organization, documentation, and reporting using internal platforms and tools.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, subject matter experts, and technical committees to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
  • Participates in the planning of engagement strategies with partners and interest holders.
  • Supports project coordination, including tracking milestones, managing project plans, and preparing presentations, reports, and briefing materials.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in healthcare, health policy, public health, or a related field.
  • Strong environmental scanning, reference management, literature search / review and synthesis skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear and concise content using plain language principles to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Comfortable with public speaking and meeting facilitation.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Power BI).
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment.
  • Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in French and English; additional languages such as Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Portuguese, or Belgian French are an asset.
  • Experience in healthcare, patient safety, quality improvement, and standards development.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and internal collaboration platforms.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and partners, including other members of the team.
  • Take on assigned initiatives or projects for your role.
