Qualifications

  • Registered or eligible to register as Engineer-In-Training (EIT) through APEGA.

About the Role

As a Project Specialist at Centrix Control Solutions, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and internal teams by providing technically sound solutions, managing sales orders, and ensuring smooth project execution. This role combines technical analysis, customer interaction, and operational coordination, making it ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives under pressure, and is passionate about delivering exceptional service in an industrial setting.

  • Analyze customer-supplied process data to determine product suitability and ensure technical alignment
  • Troubleshoot existing product offerings to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Liaise with factory engineering and customer service teams to develop technical proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotes for custom technical offerings.
  • Collaborate with account managers and inside sales to develop strategic, customer-focused solutions.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
Who We’re Looking For
  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or an Engineering Technologist diploma
  • Registered or able to be registered as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) through APEGA Experience in an Industrial environment through employment or cooperative programs with post-secondary institutions is an advantage
  • 2-3 years of experience in a technical, project coordination, or inside sales role within the industrial, manufacturing, or controls industry (valves, instrumentation, or automation experience is a strong asset).
  • Proven ability to analyze technical data and interpret process information to make informed decisions.
  • Experience preparing technical quotations, proposals, and costing in collaboration with engineering and sales teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems for order entry, tracking, and management.
  • Organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and think critically under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with internal teams, vendors, and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
