Job description

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour week from Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • Licensed 309A – Electrician – Construction & Maintenance
  • 2 years experience in electrical project management and estimating
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Accubid and Expert Estimator would be an asset

Salary : $75,000 to $90,000 based on qualifications and experience.

Scope of Position and Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and issues.
  • Efficiently manage and document electrical service orders, track the status of open orders, and invoice orders upon completion.
  • Coordinate commercial and housing customer service calls and dispatch electricians.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of electrical contract documents e.g. CCDC.
  • Effective electrical contract management, planning and forecasting, budgeting.
  • Strengthening relationships with existing customers and pursue new business opportunities / source new project tenders.
  • Review and organize change directives, site instructions and change orders; prepare pricing for extras or credits associated with each change.
  • Order materials / issue purchase orders, providing enough lead time to avoid delays in construction.
  • Smooth demobilization upon completion of the work.
  • Ensure all relevant permits are closed e.g. ESA.
  • Prepare electrical takeoffs and formalize estimates for new electrical projects and service work.
  • Ability to price, administer, negotiate and analyze various stages of construction.
  • Other duties as assigned.
