Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Scientist to join our team! In this role you will perform a variety of environmental analytical data tasks by applying standard scientific and/or data validation techniques.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Working with and training an amazing team of experienced scientists and project staff.
• Working with project teams to determine analytical needs.
• Coordinating with laboratories to ensure project requirements are met.
• Writing guidance documents for project and field staff.
• Receiving, tracking, and reviewing laboratory data deliverables.
• Performing data validation in accordance with the project-required guidance documents.
• Using software like FUDSChem and ADR.
• Preparing data quality summaries and data usability summaries for the project.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Knowledge of analytical chemistry methods and data quality assurance and quality control.
• Familiarity with environmental sampling and testing techniques.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Unyielding attention to detail.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Familiarity with emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
• Knowledge of, or experience with FUDSChem, EQUIS, and ADR.
• Background in both organic and inorganic laboratory methodology.
• Experience directing and training junior staff on data validation procedures.
