Job summary

Hitachi Rail in Toronto is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the creation and maintenance of the project schedule under the direction of the Project Planner.

You will use Primavera and MS Project to track progress, update schedules monthly, and provide reports such as Critical Path and earned value. This role requires 3+ years of planning experience, a college/university degree, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience using planning software
• College or University graduate or equivalent
• Basic Primavera and MS Project skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills
• Good English skills

Responsibilities

Job Description:

He/she is responsible for supporting the creation and maintenance of the project schedule under the direction of the Project Planner.

Key Accountabilities

• Create and update the Project schedule in Primavera under the direction of the Project Planner

• Comply with project reporting requirements as defined by process or contract

• Update the project schedule on monthly and quarterly basis with changes to EAC, activity dates and labour demand

• Provide reports/metrics including Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variance, Critical milestones movement, KPIs & labor forecasts under the guidance of the Project Planner.

Key Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in using planning software

• College or University graduate or equivalent working experience

• Basic level skills in Primavera and Microsoft Project software

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel

• Good communication skills

• Good English skills

Base Salary: $68,583 - $85,729
