SUMMARY

The Project & Reporting Analyst plays a dual role by supporting the successful execution of performance improvement projects while also designing and delivering business intelligence tools and analytics that enable data-driven decision-making across BGIS Professional Services. .

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Coordination

  • Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects. At this level, projects managed are typically of moderate complexity, risk andexposure.
  • Incollaborationwith internal clients,definesprojectscope,deliverablesandrequirements.
  • Developsandimplementsprojectplansandschedules.
  • Determinesresourceandbudgetrequirements,costestimates,andtimelines.
  • Monitorsprojectdeliveryagainsttimelinesandensurestimelycompletion.
  • Overseestheactivitiesofprojectteammembersandmonitorsprojecttaskcompletion.
  • Communicatesprojectstatustorelevantconcerned parties.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Gathers, compiles, and maintains large datasets from internal systems and external sources.
  • Creates and manages dashboards, scorecards, and performance reports using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
  • Ensures accuracy and consistency in data through rigorous validation processes.
  • Conducts data analysis to support business cases, performance improvement initiatives, and client reporting needs.
  • Identifies trends, anomalies, and opportunities for efficiency based on analytical outputs.
  • Collaborates with other teams to support cross-functional data initiatives and projects.
  • Supports automation and process improvement efforts through Power Automate, PowerApps, or similar tools when applicable.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Project management – proven ability and experience in delivering projects on-time, on-budget, within specifications and in-compliant with all requirements including but not limited to regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Exposure to reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) and scripting languages (e.g., SQL, Python), with experience developing dashboards and visualizations in Power BI
  • Communication – strong communication, influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Relationship building – proven ability and experience in building and maintaining effective relationships
  • Client service orientation – strong client service orientation
  • Vendor management – proven ability and experience in managing vendor performance
  • Quality – possesses a continuous improvement and quality mindset along with a desire to continuously seek and incorporate best practices and technologies in order to optimize program delivery and deliver value to the client
