Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA, Inc.) seeks a Project Manager - Capital Markets Data Solutions for a contract assignment in Mississauga, ON. The role sits in our Markets Program Execution & Transformation team and offers a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days on-site.

You will lead cross-functional delivery across risk, front office, product control, and technology, using agile practices and data storytelling to ensure regulatory programs are implemented effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years relevant industry experience.
• Extensive track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions.
• Experience in Capital Markets Transformation or Front Office roles.
• Strong data governance and data management knowledge.
• Proficient with Jira, Confluence, and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to senior stakeholders.

• Lead working groups and workshops to define plans and timelines.
• Provide SME guidance on business initiatives and data practices.

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager - Capital Markets Data Solutions for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Mississauga, ON.

Hybrid - 2 - 3 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Seeking an agile, efficient, and diligent Project Manager to join our Markets Program Execution & Transformation team.
• Responsible for the timely execution of deliverables across all transformative programs impacting firm's Markets businesses, providing subject matter expertise, and ensuring successful implementation of large, transformative regulatory programs.
• Support the Program Initiative lead(s) to drive the execution of strategic deliverables across multiple projects, including large transformative regulatory programs.
• Lead and participate in working groups, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to understand business requirements, define project plans, and manage timelines.
• Provide subject matter expertise by offering guidance, support, and constructive challenge on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy and data management practices.
• Assist in ensuring that all target state tools, processes, and controls are effectively socialized and approved at the appropriate governance forum or level.
• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control, and Technology teams.
• Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or elevate risks and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs.
• Engage senior stakeholders by escalating and resolving issues as they arise, while maintaining professional acumen.
• Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring them to various forums and committees, and utilizing data storytelling techniques to enhance understanding.
• Build strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach, to support the execution of programs.
• Be comfortable with using modern AI tooling to improve project workflow and outcomes.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's/University degree.
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong and proven track record in strategic project management, delivering complex solutions, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Significant experience in Capital Markets Transformation or similar Front Office roles.
• Familiarity with Market Risk, Finance, and Capital concepts, as well as a solid understanding of financial markets.
• Strong knowledge of data management practices, data structures, and data governance.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and SQL.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgment and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver effective data storytelling and presentation skills to communicate complex information clearly.
• A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate performance.
• Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understanding different perspectives.
• Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability.
• Will possess a strong project management background, professional acumen, familiarity with financial markets, and the ability to work effectively with modern tooling.

Preferred Skills

• Master's degree preferred
• Experience in managing Capital Markets, Market Risk, and Regulatory-related projects.
• Familiarity with Markdown and/or Python
• Project Management certifications e.g., PMP or equivalent a strong plus.
