What will you do?

  • Manage third-party spend activities for designated business units.
  • Control and monitor all procurement activities in projects.
  • Implement procurement strategies to maximize contribution to the operating result.
  • Identify appropriate procurement strategies aligned with business unit and company goals to achieve cost and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Identify market and project-specific risks and opportunities during procurement phases.
  • Recommend actions to mitigate risks or capitalize on opportunities, including contractual risk management in consultation with project management and customers.
  • Establish sourcing processes and identify procurement resources to meet cost, deadlines, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement processes and optimize resource deployment.
  • Analyze customer contracts and agreements, including risk analysis, and develop negotiating strategies.
  • Lead or support contract and price negotiations to secure project cost targets with favorable terms.
  • Define metrics for controlling and reporting project costs, analyzing variances and savings.
  • Ensure compliance with all procurement policies and procedures.
  • Train team members on procurement policies to meet departmental goals.
  • Support national procurement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of procurement experience.
  • Procurement or Supply Management Certification is a strong asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to work in a complex, matrix environment.
  • Fluency in both English and French is an asset.
