Job summary

A leading Canadian consulting firm is looking for a Project Planner to prepare and monitor project schedules effectively. The ideal candidate should have a college diploma or university degree and at least seven years of experience in projects, particularly in the industrial or mining sectors. Essential tools include Primavera P6 and MS Office Suite, with strong language skills in English and French. Your future role on our team

BBA is currently seeking a Project Planner. In that capacity, your role will consist of preparing and monitoring schedules.

Type of Position

Regular

Responsibilities
  • Develop and update schedules for all project phases: engineering, procurement, logistics, construction and commissioning
  • Plan, organize and monitor projects using tools like Primavera P6 and Prism G2
  • Analyze the critical path, risks and opportunities, and prepare recommendations for the project or study manager
  • Generate progress reports and produce performance indicators
  • Update schedules, both weekly and monthly
  • Prepare reports and maintain ties with project management to plan activities and project scheduling
  • Maintain all planning and progress reports
  • Propose solutions to the project manager to correct identified gaps and adhere to schedules
  • Exercise independent judgement in selecting, filing, compiling and analyzing data from various sources
  • Carry out all other related tasks that could help deliver projects

Overview of Certifications and Job Requirements
  • College diploma or university degree
  • At least seven years of relevant experience, ideally in the industrial or mining sectors
  • Knowledge of design and construction processes
  • Very good knowledge of the MS Office Suite and Primavera P6
  • Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
  • Advanced level of French to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in Québec. The frequency of French use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
  • Asset: Available to travel
  • Asset: experience with EPCM projects
