YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the General Supervisor, Metallurgy, you will be part of the Process Plant Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Oversee daily activities related to metallurgy and operations, including process performance, equipment reliability, and data quality improvement;
  • Work on control loop optimization for key processes, including crushing, grinding, leaching and detox;
  • Drive the automation of key processes, ensuring alignment with industry best practice;
  • Monitor and implement cost-saving measures by optimizing reagent usage and other consumables within the process plant;
  • Collect, analyze, and report on process performance data, providing actionable recommendations for improvements;
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the process plant;
  • Develop and oversee metallurgical projects to enhance business performance and operational efficiency;
  • Map and analyze the value chain to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and maximize value creation;
  • Explore and implement AI solutions for mineral processing and decision-making to enhance operational performance.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related chemical processing field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in an operating process plant environment;
  • Practical, on-the-ground experience as a plant metallurgist or similar technical role in operations;
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to contribute beyond core responsibilities in a changing operational environment.

Note that the official working language at Meadowbank Complex is English.

Your Work Schedule:

  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
