1dea Design + Media Inc. (pronounced “one idea”) is a creative marketing and website design agency based in Kingston, Ontario, with remote team members in Ottawa and Toronto. For the past 19 years , we’ve helped mission-driven organizations in tourism, healthcare, government, education, and the non-profit sectors build impactful brands and conversion-focused websites .

We’re looking for a strategic, detail-driven Project Manager to lead client website projects—from research and sitemaps to wireframes, design, and development. You’ll also play a key role in overseeing our WordPress Website Support service (now managing 70+ websites), improving internal processes , and leveraging AI-driven efficiencies across how we work.

This is a fully remote, work-from-home position . As a small agency embracing rapid change—especially in AI and marketing technology —we’re seeking someone who is adaptable, versatile , and eager to take on evolving responsibilities. This role will grow and shift as we innovate and refine how websites are planned, built, and supported. You may help develop entirely new workflows, test emerging tools, or create new service offerings as part of that journey.

You’ll Be Responsible For :

• Leading end-to-end project management of custom website builds—from research, strategy, and planning to content coordination, UX, design, and development
• Serving as the main point of contact for clients, guiding discussions around user experience, conversions, content needs, and timelines
• Shaping website strategies that align with client goals—and creating a clear execution plan to get there
• Overseeing our growing WordPress Website Support service —coordinating internal workflows, monitoring communication, improving service levels, and refining SOPs
• Supporting and enhancing processes with AI tools to improve team efficiency and output
• Writing and refining repeatable documentation —project briefs, QA checklists, meeting notes, timelines, and internal systems
• From time to time (in collaboration with our Strategic Director), plan and execute broader marketing activities, including strategies for lead generation, funnel-building, conversion optimization, social media and paid advertising campaigns (Google / Meta)

Who We’re Looking For :

We’re not looking for a straightforward task-doer—we need a strategic thinker . Someone who’s curious, analytical, and proactive in shaping how marketing and websites can make clients more successful. You should be comfortable coming up with strategies, presenting your insights, and guiding the team (and client) toward results.

You’re also someone who doesn’t mind evolving in their role. As AI and new tools transform our industry, we’re looking for someone who’s open to change , excited by new ideas, and willing to help shape the way forward.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have :

• 3–6 years of experience in an agency, startup, or marketing / digital environment
• Deep understanding of websites as strategic marketing assets —not just visual design projects
• Comfort leading the UX and content strategy side of projects (wireframes, flows, structure)
• Familiarity with WordPress site builds (coding knowledge not required)
• Strong client communication and leadership skills
• Detail-oriented, self-managed, and excellent with timelines and documentation
• The ability to recommend and implement new tools, ideas, and processes to improve how we work

Bonus Points For :

• Experience managing a website support or maintenance service
• Familiarity with Elementor and / or emerging AI tools in design, content, QA, or workflow
• Understanding of subscription or retainer-based service delivery models
• Experience in planning and executing full marketing strategies, including digital ad campaigns (Google / Meta), social media strategies, CRM-integrated funnels or lead generation campaigns, copy and creative oversight
