Job description

The City of Toronto is seeking a Project Manager for a full-time, temporary position (12 months) in the Community & Social Services division, specifically within Toronto Shelter & Support Services. This role is based at Metro Hall, 55 John St., Toronto (hybrid work arrangement).

The Project Manager will oversee the modernization of the Shelter Management Information System (SMIS), coordinating change initiatives from conception to implementation, focusing on governance, strategy, and system updates. Responsibilities include developing project plans, stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing projects related to digital transformation or business process improvement, preferably within social services or municipal government.
  • Proven ability to build stakeholder relationships, lead multidisciplinary teams, and influence senior leadership decisions.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills, with the capacity to manage change and work within tight timelines.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation such as AODA, OHSA, and other safety standards.

The position offers a salary range of $103,431.00 - $141,247.00 annually and requires working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. The posting is open from May 30, 2025, to June 13, 2025.
