In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for aligning strategic priorities through effective project and budget management, performance review, and comprehensive reporting. This individual must be capable of working independently with a high degree of initiative, discretion, and sound judgment, while also fostering collaborative relationships with key partners in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Collaborate with project partners to develop and analyze project planning initiatives, define tasks and timelines, and drive successful completion of deliverables on time and within budget for cross-organizational projects.
  • Support leadership in the implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment of priorities, timelines, and tasks across the organization.
  • Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope; develop and implement contingency plans as needed.
  • Monitor and assess project risks; escalate issues related to strategy implementation and performance as appropriate.
  • Effectively communicate project objectives, progress, and expectations to team members and partners in a timely and clear manner.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end activity and budget reports; report on project milestones and key metrics to internal and external collaborators.
  • Build and strengthen partnerships with other alliances (e.g., hospitals, community agencies, primary care providers) through strategic outreach and relationship management.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with funding agencies, providing planning and troubleshooting support as needed.
  • Collaborate with departmental and program teams to ensure aligned implementation plans and performance measurement systems.
  • Coordinate and facilitate recurring meetings, develop agendas, identify barriers to progress, and lead issue resolution.
  • Represent the organization on inter-agency committees to contribute to the development of policy and practice standards.
  • Support external relations and advocacy initiatives by drafting strategically aligned position papers, proposals, briefing notes, and business cases in collaboration with clinical and corporate teams.
  • Partner with the Finance department to manage project-related expenses and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on performance and outcome metrics that support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field or Health Administration is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible project management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional projects and teams using project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of the project life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage partners across sectors.
  • Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a complex and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital.
  • This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices, and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.
