Division: Quality Assurance
Job location: Hybrid (GTA)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Employment type: Temporary (1-Year Contract)

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director, Corporate Quality, the Project Manager, Strategic Quality Projects will lead and oversee special quality initiatives that support the strategic objectives of the Global Quality Organization, in alignment with Aurora Cannabis Inc.’s quality strategy.

As the Project Manager, Strategic Quality Projects you will be involved in …

  • Leading and managing the delivery of key quality projects to support implementation of the global quality strategy and quality improvement plans.
  • Gathering requirements, evaluating, and determining objectives, goals, and the scope of complex projects.
  • Leading initiatives to apply best practices across operational sites.
  • Managing and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Working cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders to ensure understanding and ownership of deliverables.
  • Working closely with Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams in Canada and the European Union to ensure compliance across all relevant regulations.
  • Managing or resolving any issues that may arise between deliverables, projects, or functional groups.
  • Partnering with other functional areas to establish and cultivate the Quality Culture at the sites.
  • Being available for on-site support at facilities to support the Quality team(s) throughout the projects for successful execution, as required.
  • Other duties as required.

You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or college diploma in Engineering, Science, Technical discipline, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an operational environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a product/project management role.
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations such as EU-GMP.
  • PMP Designation and/or LEAN six-sigma certification is considered an asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems is considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
