A leading organization is seeking a Project Manager for the SickKids Centre for Global Child Health. This role involves managing a sustainable capacity-building project aimed at improving nutrition for women and children in resource-poor environments. The Project Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders, oversee project activities, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. The position offers a hybrid work model and requires travel to project sites.

Launched in 2023, Increase Gains in Nutrition by Integration, Education, Evaluation, Empowerment (IGNIT3) is a sustainable capacity-building project in Ghana, Malawi and Pakistan led by The Centre for Global Child Health at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), in collaboration with Nutrition International and WaterAid Canada. With funding from the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada, this project aims to improve nutrition for women, adolescent girls, and children in Ghana, Malawi and Pakistan over a span of five years (2023-2028) through targeted, integrated nutrition, health, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) programming. Local implementing partners include Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM), Aga Khan University (AKU), Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) and WaterAid country offices in Ghana, Malawi and Pakistan and Nutrition International countries offices in Malawi and Pakistan. The project aims to directly impact beneficiaries in health facilities, communities and education institutions. Working closely with the Director of Capacity Building and Senior Manager of Interprofessional Education, the Project Manager (PM) collaborates with internal and external colleagues, local and in-country partners and government officials to manage operational processes and the delivery and evaluation of program activities. Leveraging strong project management and communication skills, the PM excels in a fast-paced environment and is responsive and solution oriented. The PM has working knowledge of the full life cycle of managing projects, including project budgets and is able to execute high caliber deliverables with minimal supervision. Additionally, the PM brings a strong understanding and practical experience of work in global health with a focus on capacity building, environmental sustainability and gender equality programming.
