SUMMARY

The Project Manager plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, budget, and requirements.

At this position level:

Projects are typically of moderate complexity, risk, and exposure.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

For the assigned projects:

  1. Plans and oversees the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, which are typically of moderate complexity, risk, and exposure.
  2. Defines project scope, deliverables, and requirements in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  3. Develops and implements detailed project plans.
  4. Determines resource needs, budget estimates, and timelines.
  5. Identifies potential project risks and develops mitigation and contingency plans.
  6. Monitors project progress against timelines and ensures timely completion.
  7. Supervises project team activities and monitors task completion.
  8. Communicates project status to relevant stakeholders regularly.
  9. Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and requirements, complying with all regulatory, environmental, health, and safety standards.

Client Relationship Management

  1. Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients.
  2. Resolves issues, manages client expectations, and ensures client satisfaction.
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

  1. College or university degree, preferably in architectural technology, construction technology, engineering technology, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 3 to 5 years of project management experience.
  3. Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications and compliance standards.
  4. Experience in developing and managing project budgets.
  5. Ability to mitigate and manage project risks effectively.
  6. Strong influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to develop and maintain relationships with project stakeholders.
  9. Strong client relationship management skills.
  10. High client service orientation.
  11. Experience managing vendor relationships and performance.
  12. Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on incorporating best practices and technologies to optimize project delivery.
  13. Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Project, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn new applications quickly.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

Assets include:

  • Project Management Institute Accreditation or in progress.
  • LEED certification or in progress.
