Make an Impact as a Project Manager at Worldwide

As a Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of Phase I–IV clinical trials, coordinating projects from start-up through close-out and helping ensure they are delivered successfully against client expectations. You’ll bring together cross-functional teams, align resources and project plans, and oversee the operational, financial, and technical aspects of your studies. As a key client contact, you’ll build strong working relationships, anticipate risks, solve complex challenges, and keep teams focused on quality, timelines, and cost. This is an opportunity to combine clinical research expertise with hands-on project leadership, guiding teams through complex studies while continuously looking for ways to improve how projects are delivered.

Where You'll Work

This is a remote role open to candidates based in Quebec. You will collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones. Travel requirements: 10%

What You'll Do
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate internal and external partners, including subcontractors, to deliver assigned clinical trials successfully.
  • Own project plans from start-up through close-out, ensuring deliverables meet agreed timelines, quality standards, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Manage project resources in partnership with functional leaders, identifying needs and developing contingency plans for critical resources.
  • Oversee the financial performance of assigned projects and work toward established financial targets.
  • Anticipate project risks and complex issues, developing contingency and recovery strategies and driving solutions through implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with client project teams, acting as a key point of contact and supporting client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Promote effective teamwork across a matrix environment, resolving conflicts and maintaining clear communication with project and functional leadership.
  • Ensure project team members are appropriately trained and work in accordance with study protocols, applicable SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and local regulations.
  • Drive improvements that enhance the efficiency and quality of work across assigned projects.
What You'll Bring
  • A university or college degree, preferably in life sciences, certification in a related allied health profession, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • At least five years of clinical pharmaceutical industry experience, including demonstrated competency in clinical project management; alternatively, more than five years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting combined with four years of clinical research experience in the pharmaceutical or CRO industries may be considered, as may proven relevant clinical development experience and skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical project management processes, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and resources effectively.
  • Thorough knowledge of ICH Guidelines and GCP, including international regulatory requirements governing clinical development programs.
  • Broad knowledge of the drug development process and client needs, combined with strong problem-solving, planning, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate matrix teams, work independently, resolve challenges, and negotiate professionally with clients.
  • A valid current passport and driver’s license, with the ability to drive and undertake domestic and international travel, including overnight stays.
  • Proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal.
