Role Summary
The Project Manager/QA assists the Senior Project/Contracts Manager in ensuring project completion on time and within budget. Key responsibilities include managing the Histogram and Program schedule, leading all QA procedures on site and with Sub-Contractors, and ensuring QA procedures are implemented with proper documentation on Procore.

Risk assessments, method statements, and H&S standards must be reviewed and maintained throughout the project, working closely with the H&S Manager.

This is a site-based role in Finland. Applicants must be eligible to work in Finland. The company provides accommodation, local transport, and return flights every third weekend for candidates outside the country.

Key Functions & Results Areas

  • Ensure appropriate labour levels on site and full H&S compliance of operatives.
  • Ensure plant & equipment are on-site and fully compliant with H&S standards.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to drawings & specifications.
  • Implement site inspection practices, quality assurance plans, and inspection reports, saving all QA procedures on Procore.
  • Develop and update site-specific risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain the Histogram and Program, managing daily outputs and completing weekly reports.
  • Prepare weekly reports for management and clients, reviewed by the Senior Manager prior to distribution.
  • Attend site coordination meetings with the Main Contractor/Client.
  • Familiarize with the Bill of Quantities to understand project scope from a commercial perspective.
  • Monitor installation labour costs and attendance against estimates.
  • Report project variations promptly for claims processing.
  • Assist with re-measures of completed works and liaise with suppliers on material delivery and quality checks.
  • Maintain good relationships with operatives, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety legislation, monitor hazards, and promote safety vigilance.
  • Record and report site events, including daily diaries and photographic records.
  • Represent the company professionally and ensure subcontractors and supervisors do the same.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • This role may involve travel and unsocial hours.
Person Specification
  • Construction-related degree or equivalent; construction science or engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ project management experience in construction; ability to interpret drawings and specifications for building envelope projects.
  • Experience in the building envelope sector is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of roofing construction methods and safety codes.
  • Effective communication, supervision, and managerial skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Excellent IT and organizational skills.
  • Strong team player.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
