Job summary

AAA Canada is seeking a Project Manager for the Project Competence Centre to support a major aeronautics partner. You will help develop, harmonize, and continuously improve project management practices, and coordinate the Centre’s initiatives to promote operational excellence.

You will organize training, webinars, and workshops; design guides and materials; and work with PM partners to compare methodologies, driving ongoing process improvements. French and English bilingual required.

Qualifications

• University degree in a technical, commercial, administrative, or project management field.
• Practical experience in project and/or program management.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is an asset.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to build strong professional relationships and internal networks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the scope of improvement projects defined by the Project Competence Centre.
• Coordinate validation steps (Quality Gates) to ensure process compliance.
• Organize internal events, webinars and workshops to engage teams and promote initiatives.
• Design and develop guides, communications, and training materials to facilitate adoption of new practices.
• Plan, organize and coordinate project management training offered by the Competence Centre.
• Collaborate with project management partners and analyze existing methodologies and practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and harmonization of project management methods.
• Support decision-making and escalate issues when necessary.

About the position

AAA Canada is looking for a Project Manager - Project Competence Centre to support one of its major partners in the aeronautics sector.

As part of your duties, you will contribute to the development, harmonization, and continuous improvement of project management practices. You will play a key role in coordinating the Competence Centre's initiatives, supporting teams, and deploying methodologies and tools that promote operational excellence.

Your main responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the scope of improvement projects defined by the Project Competence Centre.


• Coordinate and control the various validation steps (Quality Gates) to ensure compliance with project management processes.


• Organize and support internal events, notably webinars and workshops, to engage teams and promote the Competence Centre's initiatives.


• Design and develop support tools (guides, communications, training materials) to facilitate the adoption of new practices.


• Plan, organize, and coordinate project management training offered by the Competence Centre.


• Work closely with project management business partners and conduct comparative analyses of existing methodologies and practices.


• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and the harmonization of project management methods.


• Support decision-making based on operational needs and ensure the escalation of issues when necessary.

Profile sought

• University degree in a technical, commercial, administrative, or project management field.


• Practical experience in project and/or program management.


• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification issued by the PMI is considered an asset.


• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.


• Ability to build strong professional relationships and develop an internal network of contacts.


• Leadership, autonomy, organizational skills, and an excellent team spirit.


• Good command of IT tools, particularly the Google Workspace suite.
