Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, QC is seeking a Project Manager - Product Change Leader Fuel systems to join the A220 Program Management team. You will oversee cross-functional projects from launch to production, and drive aircraft configuration within an Integrated Work Team environment.

Qualifications

The A220 commercial aircraft program is seeking a Project Manager - Product Change Leader Fuel systems to join our A220 Program Management team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), reporting to the Energy PDT team.

Your role as a Project Manager - Product Change Leader Fuel systems will be to:

• Lead projects from launch to implementation in production and service, through all its phases, i.e. development, detailed design, parts manufacturing and industrialization;
• Lead aircraft configuration in a multifonctional (Integrated Work Team) approach;
• Be responsible for achieving milestones in accordance with program requirements in terms of schedule, cost (NRC and RC), quality, resources and scope.

Your challenges:

• Demonstrate leadership by inspiring and motivating multi-disciplinary teams, internal and external to Airbus, including Engineering, Industry, Quality, Procurement, Suppliers, Work Package Managers and to maintain adequate staffing levels in line with program requirements;
• Plan and manage the timelines between opening and closing a change request moving from solution definition to incorporation into production and service;
• Ensure inputs for resolution of contract updates and business issues through procurement teams;
• Represent the Program Management Office in multiple internal decision-making forums for program strategy;
• Anticipate crises or disruptions and, if necessary, take the necessary recovery actions;
• Implement a robust risk and opportunity management system;
• Ensure consistent decision-making at the highest level in accordance with operational needs and elevate issues, if necessary;
• Prepare and present changes to various decision-making forums and governance.

Your profile:

• You hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in management/engineering or have 15 years of equivalent experience (PMP is an asset);
• You have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in product development;
• You demonstrate a high level of leadership and influence;
• You have a good knowledge of Google Suite and Planisware (an asset);
• You have good analytical, planning and problem-solving skills;
• You demonstrate open-mindedness and a great ability to work in a team;
• You have a sense of organization, you demonstrate autonomy and have perseverance;
• You are perfectly bilingual (spoken and written) in French and English.
