About The Opportunity

An OPOR Project Manager reports to an OPOR Sr. Project Manager and oversees a dynamic multi-disciplinary team responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of OPOR projects throughout the province. This supports the organization and its clients’ direction towards the rationalization of disparate systems and the One Person, One Record (OPOR) strategy.

OPOR project managers are responsible for management of complex projects within OPOR. They will also support OPOR managers and leads in education, training and development of their project management skills to allow managers and leads to support the smaller, lower complexity projects.

The OPOR Project Manager will be committed to a high standard of performance and will provide support across the organization to enable OPOR projects in support of NSH’s and its clients’ strategic mission, vision and goals. The OPOR Project Manager performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, project oversight of resources and stakeholders; managing timelines and milestones; documenting outcomes; and, monitoring, summarizing and communicating the progress of activities to the appropriate leadership team members. Additionally, this leadership position ensures that all activities within their responsible area are supported by OPOR business plan, established policies/procedures, and in line with OPOR service management level policies and practices.

About You

  • Undergraduate degree required (consideration may be given to those with equivalent training and work experience)
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) required
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ leadership experience with IT/IM Services, project management, programs and services required
  • Master’s degree an asset, particularly in health administration, leadership, masters of business administration
  • Certified Health Executive (CHE) and/or Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) designation an asset
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Project Management Professions (PMO) and/or organizational change management certification an asset
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management methodologies, IM/IT tools, applications and systems of support
  • Project Management experience in a complex health care organizational environment preferred
  • Strong knowledge of health care issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in leading teams of staff with indirect accountabilities to other operational units
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute through effective delegation, motivation and oversight
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Ability to develop and establish financial policies and procedures
  • Clearly communicates NSH vision, mission and values
  • Experience in working with patient care leaders

Compensation And Benefits

$43.80 - $54.74 Hourly
