Purpose

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager - Oil and Gas. Our team includes world-class experts and dynamic go-getters. This is a full-time position based in Edmonton, Alberta.

Responsibilities
  1. Planning & prioritizing project tasks to support the project schedule.
  2. Identifying and managing project and contractual risks and opportunities.
  3. Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholders including global integrated delivery (GID) team.
  4. Reporting of cost, schedule, progress, and performance to senior management.
  5. Ensuring design team is aware of and complies with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
  6. Preparing Project Execution Plan covering all aspects of the scope.
  7. Reviewing and analyzing alternatives and options to deliver value through the project scope.
  8. Leading, coaching, and directing multi-disciplinary engineering & support teams in all phases of project execution.
  9. Developing relationships with customers and vendors.
  10. Maintaining comprehensive project documents and reports.
  11. Championing safety, well-being, sustainability, and management of change processes.
  12. Limited travel to site or other locations as required.
What you will bring
Technical and Industry Experience
  1. Extensive experience, including relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience in Oil and Gas.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of project execution, project management and project control methodologies.
  3. Full life cycle project management experience (FEED to Commissioning).
  4. Understanding of the project lifecycle for high-value gas processing and/or heavy oil projects.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Strong people skills supported by effective decision making and influential negotiation skills.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Required
  1. University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, preferably in Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering degree.
  2. Eligibility for registration with EGBC as a Professional Engineer.
  3. Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.
  4. Extensive project management experience for oil & gas capital projects.
