Overview

The Opportunity: Our Nuclear subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients in the nuclear industry. Our team offers services including technical and feasibility studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, quality surveillance, commissioning and asset management. This division is actively supporting nuclear refurbishments, new builds and related capital projects, with Canada as a leader in this field.

WSP is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager, Nuclear to join one of our Ontario offices. Travel to Tiverton, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Saint John, New Brunswick; Pickering and Oshawa, Ontario may be required. This role supports the project management team in delivering nuclear project and program deliverables on complex projects, within a strong safety culture.

What you can expect to do here
  • You will lead exciting projects and a team to deliver high-quality outputs for our clients, on time and on budget.
  • You will lead team members and resources to develop and manage project cost, schedule, risk and quality, ensuring safety and client expectations are met.
  • You will ensure all integration points for your project are identified and managed with stakeholders, with risks identified and managed through the team environment.
  • You will manage the coordination of Engineering Deliverables with discipline leads.
  • You will prepare and maintain project schedules and cost control reports.
  • You will manage project changes.
  • You will prepare and maintain HSE and Quality procedures for each project.
  • You will handle Owner and Stakeholder Reporting, including representing WSP at meetings and presentations, and addressing issues raised by Owners/Clients.
  • You will respond in a timely manner to matters relating to the project scope of work.
  • You have experience in change management on complex projects.
  • You will ensure that all lessons learned from previous projects and phases are captured, implemented and reported.
  • You will handle other duties as assigned/required.
What you'll bring to WSP
  • A demonstrated knowledge of nuclear safety culture and past application of behaviours supporting this culture.
  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in Project Management or Engineering.
  • At least 8+ years of experience managing projects in the nuclear industry.
  • Ideally PMP designation with continued education and ongoing industry involvement.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
  • A self-motivated individual looking for advancement opportunities.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Must be able to pass Security Clearance.
