Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Construction Team. This position will oversee projects located throughout Vancouver Island, from Victoria to Comox.

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and controlling construction activities to ensure successful project delivery—on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review general contractor (GC) contracts and verify project scope against estimates
  2. Develop and issue project budgets and financial forecasts
  3. Collaborate with the Project Accountant and Controller to align project financials
  4. Work with the Purchasing team to secure supplier agreements and negotiate pricing
  5. Negotiate subcontractor agreements and issue scope of work letters
  6. Coordinate with the Director of Field Operations to implement labour and installation strategies
  7. Review and manage submittals, shop drawings, and returned approvals
  8. Develop and maintain mechanical construction schedules, including labour loading
  9. Oversee and coordinate subcontractor activities with Field Supervision
  10. Manage change order processes and documentation
  11. Review site instructions (SI), RFIs, and other communications for scope implications
  12. Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date with the support of Project Coordinators
  13. Prepare and submit monthly progress billings
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and labour management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
