We are actively seeking an experienced and driven MES Business Project Manager to join our team in Cambridge, ON.


In this key role, you will lead the business-side implementation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the Component business. You'll play a vital role in delivering operational excellence and digital transformation by ensuring business processes, requirements, and stakeholder needs are fully integrated into the MES rollout.


What You’ll Do


Project Leadership & Business Coordination


  • Lead the business-side execution of the MES project, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Serve as the key liaison between business units and the IT Project Manager.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to define system requirements, workflows, and change impacts.
  • Drive business-side activities, including communication, readiness, and change adoption.
  • Manage cutover planning and post-launch hypercare support, ensuring business teams are equipped for system ownership.

Requirements Gathering & Process Optimization


  • Identify and document current business processes affected by the MES rollout.
  • Work with departments such as Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality to translate needs into system requirements.
  • Partner with the IT Project Manager and MES vendor to configure the system for business success.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, traceability, and inventory management.

Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement


  • Communicate project timelines, updates, and expectations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support training and adoption efforts with the help of external Change Management Consultants (Accenture).
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring scripts and resources meet business requirements.
  • Organize and oversee end-user training to ensure a successful and sustainable go-live.
  • Gather feedback and support iterative improvements post-implementation.

Risk Management & Issue Resolution


  • Identify potential risks and gaps in the business-side deployment of MES.
  • Collaborate with IT, Quality, and Operations teams to address challenges proactively.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Monitor milestones and escalate issues when needed to maintain project momentum.

What You Bring


  • 5 years combined experience in Project Management and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Previous experience in digital transformation initiatives or MES/ERP implementations is a strong asset.
  • Excellent ability to work cross-functionally and drive organizational change.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to translate technical systems into business value.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $82,000 and $126,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
