We are seeking an experienced MES Business Project Manager to join our team in Cambridge, ON.

This role involves leading the business-side implementation of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the Component business, focusing on operational excellence and digital transformation by integrating business processes, requirements, and stakeholder needs into the MES rollout.

What You’ll Do: Project Leadership & Business Coordination
  • Lead the business-side execution of the MES project, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Serve as the key liaison between business units and the IT Project Manager.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to define system requirements, workflows, and change impacts.
  • Drive business activities, including communication, readiness, and change adoption.
  • Manage cutover planning and post-launch support, ensuring business teams are prepared for system ownership.
Requirements Gathering & Process Optimization
  • Identify and document current business processes affected by the MES rollout.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality departments to translate needs into system requirements.
  • Partner with the IT Project Manager and MES vendor to configure the system for success.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, traceability, and inventory management.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Communicate project timelines, updates, and expectations to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Support training and adoption efforts, working with external Change Management Consultants (e.g., Accenture).
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to meet business needs.
  • Organize end-user training for a successful go-live and gather feedback for improvements.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
  • Identify potential risks and gaps in MES deployment.
  • Collaborate with IT, Quality, and Operations teams to address challenges proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Monitor milestones and escalate issues as needed.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in Project Management and Manufacturing Operations.
  • Experience managing complex projects in manufacturing or industrial settings.
  • Experience with digital transformation or MES/ERP implementations is a plus.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and organizational change skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to translate technical systems into business value.

Salary range in Ontario: $82,000 - $126,000 annually, based on experience and market factors. Total compensation may include incentives and benefits. Details provided upon offer.
