DNV Energy Systems is seeking a Project Manager with a strong technical background in wind, solar, storage, and/or practical experience with project financing for our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory Services team. Join us!

Our M&A team operates at the forefront of the renewables industry, providing technical due diligence and advisory services to diverse customers in North America, primarily supporting M&A transactions such as purchases, sales, and refinancing of projects and platforms. Our technical work contributes to the efficient functioning of the equity markets, which are increasingly driving renewable energy penetration in North America.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading project management and serving as the primary point of contact for due diligence engagements.
  2. Performing and managing technical analysis for solar, wind, and storage projects, including evaluation of project value through review of key contracts, validation of technical inputs in financial models, review of project designs and technologies, operational evaluations, and benchmarking analyses.
  3. Coordinating technical reviews among internal specialists and resolving technical issues with transaction stakeholders.
  4. Leading the reporting process, including writing and synthesizing technical due diligence reports.
  5. Developing proposals for due diligence scopes of work tailored to client needs.
  6. Supporting clients through project financial closings and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  7. Prioritizing QHSE considerations to ensure safe and healthy work environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy systems, environmental science, business, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening (US).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the North American energy market.
  • Experience with project financing and transaction mechanics.
  • Leadership qualities, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical and organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
