Role Summary

The Aptitude Project Manager 2 will be responsible for constructability reviews, conceptual estimating, consultation, bid pricing, project management, change management, and coordinating with project teams on technology or Aptitude scopes of work. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project management skills to effectively integrate technology scopes on projects, supporting JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

Autonomy & Decision Making: Makes decisions within defined limits of authority and consults supervisor on other decisions.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Supports all aspects of the company's safety culture and promotes an injury-free environment.
  • Coordinates technology design and construction efforts to meet standards.
  • Provides technical expertise on design assist, installation, and network integration.
  • Creates technology-specific scopes of work and responsibility matrices.
  • Performs quantity takeoffs and obtains vendor & trade partner pricing for budgets or proposals.
  • Manages project budgets, costs, and projections.
  • Develops and enforces Aptitude processes and standards.
  • Leads, coaches, and motivates team members.
  • Supports deployment of Aptitude strategies for project delivery.
  • Participates in communication programs and strategy sessions.
  • Manages budgets, schedule, staffing, billing, and collections.
  • Develops and manages project plans and schedules.
  • Tracks and reports on project milestones.
  • Communicates and resolves issues promptly.
  • Conducts post-project evaluations and manages documentation.

  • Manages technology consulting processes with clients and contractors.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, IT, or related field (Required).
  • Equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • 8+ years in IT/Security/Life Safety systems (Required).
  • 5+ years project management experience (Required).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • May require travel or relocation.
  • Willing to work non-traditional hours.
  • Exposure to extreme conditions possible.
