What we offer

The Manager, Outbound Logistics Strategy will be responsible for developing a comprehensive end-to-end logistics strategy for the outbound movement of finished goods produced by all business units at our manufacturing facility, and where necessary, internal factory logistics as they relate to outbound flow. This strategy will directly support scaling our innovative manufacturing business efficiently and competitively. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, shipping and transportation, supply chain management, and logistics strategy.

What you’ll do

  • Develop an integrated outbound logistics strategy for all products — modular units, building components (e.g., floor and wall panels), and cabinetry/millwork — based on their specific handling, protection, and transport needs.
  • Evaluate transportation options (in-house vs third-party) for each product type and recommend preferred approaches.
  • Complete detailed business cases comparing transportation modes (e.g., flatbeds, box trucks), factoring in capital and operating costs, scalability, reliability, flexibility, and site constraints.
  • Specify loading equipment and vehicle types for each product category (e.g., enclosed trucks for cabinetry, open trailers for panels and modules).
  • Define end-to-end movement procedures from factory loading to final onsite placement, including required equipment and protection measures.
  • Recommend packaging, staging, and loading methods for each product type, with special attention to cabinetry protection and later-stage delivery needs.
  • Assess and recommend internal factory requirements to support outbound logistics, including module sizing, door and clearance dimensions, staging layouts, and loading bay configurations.
  • Develop detailed delivery sequencing plans to ensure efficient jobsite logistics and minimize onsite storage or handling.
  • Optimize internal material flow leading to outbound shipping, ensuring efficient transition from production to transport loading.
  • Recommend internal handling and loading procedures to reduce product handling time, minimize damage risk, and match outbound loading methods.
  • Coordinate between different product flows inside the plant to align with outbound transport scheduling and delivery sequencing.
  • Other duties as required

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and/or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • 10+ years of comprehensive experience in the areas of supply chain, procurement, shipping, transportation, and logistics, and/or a combination of other experience including, but not limited to, contract negotiation, pricing, cost management, supplier management, and material planning
  • Experience integrating logistics strategy with factory layout and plant planning.
  • Technical proficiency with logistics automation, fleet management systems, and warehouse management software.
  • Proven experience in establishing and enhancing a cohesive strategy across the supply chain to optimize efficiency and drive cost savings
  • Significant technical aptitude, including in the use of technology to automate logistics processes
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct

Bonus Points

  • Experience with establishing a logistics function from the ground up in a manufacturing start-up environment
  • Understanding of shipping complex or bulky products, including the materials and components used in cabinetry, residential construction, structural systems, HVAC systems, and appliances
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, SCMP/CPIM/CSCP/CLTD/CTSC designations are an asset

We encourage applicants who meet most of the role requirements to hit that submit button and apply! It’s okay if you don’t have 100% of the requirements. If you’re the right candidate, we’ll help you learn and grow.
