Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior

On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior for a 7 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior - Job Description :

As a Senior Project Manager & Security Architect, you will lead high-risk security programs designed to protect Ontario's Critical Valued Assets (CVAs). You will focus on enterprise Data Loss Prevention and database monitoring, integrating advanced security architecture expertise with senior program leadership and project management skills.

Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior - Responsibilities :

• Act as Senior Program Lead across CVA security initiatives, balancing scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Gather and develop requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to create and maintain detailed project schedules
• Define and validate information security architecture for DLP solutions, data classification, encryption schemes, and database monitoring
• Lead consultative workshops to capture business and security requirements, threat models, and “security by design” patterns
• Oversee vendor engagements, third-party integrations, and interoperability with SIEM and SOAR platforms
• Provide regular status updates to executives and sponsors
• Ensure day-2 supportability : coordinate knowledge transfer, runbooks, operational handover, and monitoring / dashboard enablement

Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior - Mandatory Skills :

Senior leadership in enterprise security program delivery and technical design

Deep understanding of information-security domains : DLP, data classification, encryption, database activity monitoring, IAM, network security

Proficiency with structured project-management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK) and OPS I&IT frameworks

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and executive-level reporting

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Track record of facilitating change management in enterprise organizations

Agile and Waterfall delivery experience

Project Manager / Leader / Security Architect- Senior – Nice-to-Have Skills :

Team leadership and mentoring experience

Familiarity with government / regulatory mandates (FIPPA, PHIPA, PCI DSS, AODA)

Experience with IBM Guardium

Experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk or Azure Sentinel

Experience in a government setting
