RQ03954 - Project Manager/Leader Junior

Client: Ministry of Health

Period: 5 Months

Start Date: 2022-11-01

End Date: 2023-03-31

Extension: After initial Mandate

Location: Toronto

Working Hrs.: 7.25 Hrs. / day

Assignment Type: Hybrid

Must have:

  1. 1-2 days in office and 3 days remote (may be subject to change)
  2. Experience in the development and implementation of project management processes, plans, and communication tools.
  3. An experienced individual with a proven track record for meeting strict deadlines and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure work on tasks/milestones remains within time and cost constraints.
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  5. Demonstrated experience communicating across many functional areas to actively engage project stakeholders and manage client expectations with diverse interests, technical and non-technical backgrounds using the appropriate level of political acuity and messaging for the audience.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Project Management Skills:

  1. Project Management experience (as appropriate to the specified experience and level) and use of Project Management software (as appropriate to the specified experience level).
  2. Knowledge of latest developments and leading practices in the project management industry and profession (e.g. PMBOK) and familiarity with best practices in other industries, sectors or jurisdictions related to project management methodologies.
  3. Experience in creating portfolio plans, monitoring project performance against project plans and generating progress reports using earned value or similar techniques.
  4. Experience in Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  5. Knowledge of OPS Integrated Project Management Framework and Methodology.

Communication/Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  2. Demonstrated experience preparing and distributing project updates, progress reports to project stakeholders while managing expectations pertaining to scope and timeline constraints.
  3. Strong discipline in resolving resourcing and interpersonal conflicts, ensuring knowledge is shared among team members to achieve project objectives.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership:

  1. Able to establish and manage stakeholder relationships.
  2. Able to communicate in business language and with technology expertise.
  3. Able to appropriately assign work packages to assigned resources and manage to ensure timely and quality delivery.
