KPMG in Canada’s Information Technology Services department is seeking a Project Manager to join the Project Services team. The role involves delivering large-scale IT initiatives, aligning with business needs, and reporting to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will have a University degree, a PMP certification, 7–8 years of project management experience, and strong skills in MS Project and Excel, with knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations to sponsors and leadership.
  • Manage client and stakeholder expectations to maintain productive relationships.
  • Conduct risk analysis to reduce obstacles and issues.

KPMG’s Information Technology Services department is looking for a Project Manager to be part of the Project Services team. The Project Services team provides project management, business systems analysis, quality management, portfolio management, and technical communication services for KPMG in Canada’s technology and key business initiatives.

What You Will Do
  • Manage and ensure project objectives are successfully delivered
  • Plan and manage large-scale information technology development and implementation projects to ensure business objectives and stakeholder needs and expectations are met
  • Work closely with other Tech Leads to ensure the success of the portfolio and the projects
  • Participate in the development of project management standards and methodologies
  • At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job
  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem‑solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Participate and/or drive vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Develop and deliver progress reports and presentations to various audiences, including project teams, sponsors, senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Manage client and other stakeholder expectations to maintain productive and engaged relationships
  • Conduct risk analysis to reduce unforeseen obstacles and issues
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
What You Bring To The Role
  • University or College Degree in a related field
  • PMP Certification already obtained
  • 7-8 years of experience in project management
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel)
  • Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodology
  • Experience with risk management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of budget management
KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information

The expected base salary range for this position is $74,000 to $102,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
