Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders in Eastern Ontario seeks a Project Manager to lead major capital building and infrastructure programs for clients across Ontario. You will be a trusted adviser, build lasting relationships with senior leaders, and drive projects from start to finish in alignment with client objectives.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years of PM experience, a university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management, PMP, and PMO expertise.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of project management experience delivering building developments
• University degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, or construction management
• PMP designation
• Public sector experience is an asset
• Knowledge of design/construction methodologies, cost management, codes and contracts
• PMO experience and ability to influence and resolve issues
• Strong client management and communication skills
• Proficient with scheduling and MS Office tools

Responsibilities

• Develop strong client relationships and act as the single point of contact to achieve client strategy and goals
• Lead programs or large capital projects of varying size and scope
• Ensure client expectations are met and represented in contractual/technical issues
• Organize and influence performance of multi-disciplinary project teams
• Lead client and project meetings and manage multiple stakeholders
• Support business development and respond to opportunities with senior leadership
• Provide regular status reporting (schedules, minutes, financials)
• Oversee change management, certificates, and contract documents
• Deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System

Your Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our OILC team based in Eastern Ontario!

Join our team of experts who lead major capital building and infrastructure projects. Working with communities across Ontario, our team is part of bringing meaningful change. Be a trusted advisor to your clients and build strong, lasting relationships with senior leaders. You will bring in-depth knowledge and have led and managed complex projects from start to finish, in alignment with your clients objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong client relationships and act as the client’s single point of contact throughout the project to achieve the client’s strategy and goals.
• Lead programs or work and large capital projects, varying in size and scope.
• Ensure client expectations are met or exceeded on all projects and the client’s best interests are represented with respect to contractual and technical issues.
• Select, organize and influence the performance of multi-disciplined project teams.
• Lead client and project meetings. Manage multiple stakeholders and communication streams.
• Maintain contact with existing and prospective clients and respond to business development and sales opportunities with support from the Business Development Managers, Principals or Vice President.
• Regularly reporting on project status by means of schedule updates, meeting minutes, financial records and other reports.
• Provide oversight and leadership to the change management process, payment certificates and other contract or project related administrative documents.
• Oversee the control of project related documents and deliver all work in accordance with our Quality Management System and procedures.

Qualifications

• 4 - 8 years of project management experience, representing owners in the delivery of building developments.
• A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, construction management.
• Project Management Professional designation (PMP).
• Experience working with public sector clients would be an asset.
• Deep knowledge of various design and construction methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation.
• Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience working in a PMO environment.
• Effective client management and people management skills matched with the ability to effectively influence others and successfully resolve a variety of client and technical issues.
• Detail oriented leader with the ability to work in a process driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling (MS Project), word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications.

Expected Compensation: $72,158– $103,993 per year (CAD)

This compensation range represents our good‑faith estimate at the time of posting, based on market benchmarks and internal equity. Final compensation will be determined considering the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications and regional consideration. Annual bonus opportunities are in addition to base salary.
