Job description

Vaco is seeking a Project Manager! The Project Manager III will manage medium to high complexity projects, including overseeing vendor implementation, system configuration, and testing coordination within the health insurance field. Remote contract for 8 months with possibility for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects to successful delivery, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to assign resources, develop schedules, and maintain budgets.
• Oversee project audits and compliance with governance requirements.
• Track and report project progress, risks, issues, and financial metrics.
• Mentor junior project managers and lead project meetings.
• Advocate for and adhere to project management standards, tools, and processes.
• Develop communication and training plans with relevant teams.
• Ensure project closure activities are completed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and project management software.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage large projects, including those with a budget up to $3.5M.
• Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in healthcare payer industry a plus.
