Job Description

The Project Manager – Supply Chain is responsible for supporting the successful execution of supply chain projects, focusing on managing vendor relationships and scope for major outsourced fabrications on the Polar program. This role ensures project alignment across functions and serves as a central coordination point between Supply Chain, Engineering, Planning, and Production teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in technical project management, with the ability to drive timelines and proactively resolve issues to prevent production delays. Prior experience in shipbuilding or heavy industry is essential.

Note : This position offers an optional hybrid work schedule after 90 days of onsite work and onboarding, subject to the terms of the Flexible Work Policy Agreement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead coordination and execution of supply chain projects, ensuring alignment with program goals.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor project costs, prepare budgets, and track expenses to adhere to financial objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans as needed.
  • Generate and present detailed project reports on progress, variances, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct site visits to vendors to validate progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance.
  • Work with vendors to address quality concerns and ensure consistent deliverables.
  • Engage daily with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to track performance and resolve issues.
  • Support inputs for internal and external reviews, including weekly and monthly program reviews and customer contract reviews.

Supply Chain Management

  • Manage subcontractor relationships, monitor performance, and resolve issues.
  • Review milestone payments, ensuring contract deliverables are met before payments.
  • Develop, review, and implement contractual documents and change orders.
  • Collaborate to meet project-specific requirements and standards.
  • Conduct vendor assessments and explore new sourcing options.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Act as liaison between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Organize review meetings and present updates on cost, schedule, quality, and risks.
  • Track commitments and action items to ensure resolution.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years in project management, engineering, SCM, shipbuilding, manufacturing, or construction.
  • Strong program and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of contracting in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Technical understanding of large-scale construction projects.
  • Familiarity with program performance metrics and reporting.
  • Knowledge of EVMS, scheduling systems, and resource planning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Positive, goal-oriented, with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage details and big picture issues.

The estimated salary range is $112,500 - $137,500, based on experience and other factors. Final salary will be determined at the company's discretion as part of a comprehensive compensation package.
