Description

Position Summary:

We are looking to add a Project Manager I (Junior / Intermediate Level) to our engineering team based at the Global Technology Center in the heart of downtown Vaughan, Ontario. The selected candidate will report directly to the Lead Project Manager and play a key role in managing projects related to engineering and product development.

Responsibilities

  • Define Capex and R&D project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, oversee cost management, and ensure adherence to project milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Assist Project Management Lead with administrative tasks related to engineering changes and process documentation.

Requirements

  • PMP, bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic knowledge of project management principles, including scope definition, risk assessment, budget management, project reporting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, Teams, OneNote.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project for scheduling and resource management.
  • Strong knowledge of product development processes and project management principles.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with requirement acquisition, scope definition, WBS, scheduling, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in project management within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Background in engineering considered an asset.
  • Machine design and build experience are considered an asset.
  • PMP certification is considered an asset.
