Role Purpose
The Project Manager I – Civil Infrastructure is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of terminal infrastructure projects.This includes supporting the planning, permitting, consultation, procurement, engineering design, construction, and commissioning of terminal infrastructure projects.
About the Role
- Plan and lead through the life cycle of infrastructure projects
- Support the planning, permitting, consultation, procurement, engineering design, construction, and commissioning of multiple infrastructure projects
- Maintain ownership of reports and presentations to facilitate the approval and delivery of projects
- Manage RFQ and RFP documentation; participate in the selection, and coordination of consultants and contractors
- Maintain ownership of project progress and cost tracking reports
- Take responsibility for project delivery schedules and resource planning
- Manage the procurement and completion of site investigations, topographic surveys and other environmental, permitting, consultation, or pre-construction activities
- Represent the business and maintain collaborative relationships with port authorities, First Nations, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Ensure all project work is completed in accordance with DP World’s Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies
- Plan and organize construction activities: inspect and record construction activities and progress
About You
- A university degree or diploma in civil engineering or related discipline along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the delivery of civil or marine infrastructure projects
- Demonstrated project experience related to the planning, permitting, procurement, engineering design, construction supervision, commissioning, and contract administration of civil or marine infrastructure project with construction values >$5m
- Outstanding computer skills.
- Experience in the use of project management software would be considered an asset
- Proven leadership skills to develop and motivate a team.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships both with and among team members.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills, including the ability to work with all departments and level and represent the business externally.
- Broad understanding of engineering principles and applicable regulations, best practices, and safety standards
- Ability to be highly organized and detailed-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities, projects and stakeholders.
- Good organizational skills and flexibility to perform multiple tasks as required.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries
