WSP Canada is currently seeking to add a Project Manager to its Hydropower & Dams team, within the Power Canada division. Energy Canada, a team of over 300 passionate and talented people across Canada, is committed to helping clients meet the growing demand for green energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.


As a Project Manager within the team, you will work closely with the hydropower and dams design teams and our market managers to lead and manage projects and business opportunities with our various clients. Under the supervision of the Project Management Discipline Leader, the successful candidate will ideally be based in one of our offices in British Columbia.

Over the decades, we have developed a wide range of services, including technical study preparation in niche areas, project management, detailed design, and site services. What you can expect to do here:
  • Manage multidisciplinary projects in hydroelectricity and dams;
  • Research, develop and maintain client relations;
  • Evaluate project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, including earned value management;
  • Develop and use leadership skills;
  • Attend conferences and training to develop your skills;
  • Travel occasionally for meetings, site assessments, and training;
  • Support project management processes, including project initiation, closure, and quality assurance;
  • Track change requests for follow-up;
  • Perform other duties related to project management, costs, and schedules.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant field;
  • 10+ years' experience in hydropower and dams projects;
  • Experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects;
  • Membership as a Professional Engineer (preferred);
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Organizational and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks;
  • Knowledge of planning software (MS Project or Primavera P6);
  • Additional assets: MBA or PMP certification;
  • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Salary range (British Columbia): $93,700 - $128,900. Final salary may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, and organizational needs. The range is subject to change.
