Job summary

Gamarc Consulting is seeking a Project Manager for heavy industrial construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring safe and timely delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and team cohesion. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a degree in a related field are required.

Qualifications

Position : Project Manager (heavy Industrial)

Duration : Full-Time

Salary : DOE

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for end-to-end management of industrial construction projects across multiple contract formats (lump sum, design-build, cost-plus, etc.). Youll ensure safe, on-budget, on-schedule delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and building team cohesion.

What You Bring :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing industrial or general construction projects ($5M$20M), within heavy industry and eartwork related projects
  • Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional project teams and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and other estimating / project tools is an asset.
  • Local subcontractor and supplier relationships in the Thompson-Okanagan area are an advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead all phases of project delivery including start-up, scheduling, procurement, execution, and closeout.
  • Oversee site conditions, scope changes, cost controls, and client reporting.
  • Direct and mentor field teams including Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and Safety Advisors
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, procurement, and compliance.
  • Monitor and report on project financials, change orders, and invoicing.
  • Collaborate across departments and ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met.
