This position at Ontario Health - CorHealth contributes their subject matter expertise and experience to the development and implementation of products and processes that primarily address CorHealth’s key business support functions which enable and inform the strategic directions of the organization. As part of the delivery team for the organization, the Specialist is responsible for the planning, implementation, and change management activities involved in the delivery of medium to large-scale program and provincial initiatives
Here is what you will be doing:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the project or program, translating strategic objectives into actionable operational activities.
Provides project and change management expertise for medium to large-scale initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborates with clinical and project leadership to understand and articulate current business challenges and opportunities; serves as the primary point of contact for scoping and planning projects.
Leads the development and execution of program-level initiatives, obtaining necessary approvals as required.
Manages and facilitates the completion of all project activities and deliverables, including project charters, plans, schedules, status reports, issue and risk logs, change requests, resource allocation, and business requirements.
Supervises project support staff and other team members as applicable, effectively delegating tasks and ensuring timely completion.
Builds and maintains strong, respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, staff, and senior leadership, and communicates consistently across all levels of the organization.
Monitors and manages project deliverables, issues, and risks to ensure successful delivery within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Demonstrates a collaborative approach and makes confident, well-informed decisions.
Consistently models the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer service.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Minimum of 6–8 years of experience delivering projects across the full project management life cycle.
Bachelor’s degree in a health system, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in key areas of accountability.
Certification and/or demonstrated experience in project management (PMI) and change management methodologies (ACMP/Prosci) is desirable
Proven experience in health services program planning and implementation, managing complex relationships, driving large-scale change, and supporting system-level transformation.
Experience working with clinical experts, technical teams, and healthcare administrators.
Demonstrated success working in matrixed management structures and engaging diverse stakeholder groups to achieve organizational goals.
Strong understanding of the healthcare sector and experience working within healthcare system environments.
Advanced proficiency in communication and project tools such as MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge and Skills
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of stakeholders.
Strong knowledge translation and mobilization skills with the ability to distill and convey technical or clinical information into practical insights.
Superior stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to build credibility, influence and persuade others, develop consensus, provide coaching, and resolve conflicts
Excellent prioritization, flexibility, and adaptability to respond to evolving business needs in dynamic environments.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, deductive and inductive reasoning skills.
High professional standards, a strong customer experience mindset, and a positive, energetic attitude that fosters effective partnerships and working relationships.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments.
