Project Manager

Hazardous Materials / Indoor Environmental Quality

We’re looking for a bright and motivated individual, someone who is ready to contribute to our growth. As the ideal candidate, you are excited by the opportunity to manage your own client portfolio and provide effective leadership to your project team.

The Project Manager will provide project management functions for select large client accounts. The Project Manager will also participate in business and staff development, including training, coordination, and quality control for junior and intermediate staff in the Hazardous Materials / Indoor Environmental Quality Group.

What you will be doing at Pinchin

  1. Manage hazardous materials and/or indoor environmental quality projects throughout the region
  2. Maintain client relationships
  3. Prepare proposals for hazardous materials assessments, indoor air quality and mould investigations, and remediation/abatement work
  4. Oversee consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and remediation/abatement work
  5. Supervise project technologists in their job functions with support from the Team Leader
  6. Prepare contract documents for hazardous material abatement projects
  7. Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects
  8. Responsible for business development with existing clients
  9. Market to new clients
  10. Train and mentor project technologists, including reviews of written work
  11. Maintain and enhance quality control within the group

What you bring to the Pinchin team

  • Post-secondary education in construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, or indoor air quality
  • 3 to 5 years of experience providing hazardous materials consulting, including 1 to 2 years as a hazardous materials or indoor environmental quality consulting Project Manager
  • Excellent technical report writing skills—ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • High attention to detail
  • Professional verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Availability to work outside or during core business hours
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and access to a vehicle (work-related travel will be compensated)
