Project Manager – EV Deployment Team

Location: Dunsmuir/Hybrid (Vancouver/Victoria)
Rate: $83.46/hour (Incorporated) | $70.73/hour (T4)
Duration: Contract | 12 months
Note: Remote candidates will not be considered.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the EV Deployment Team, responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of EV fast charger infrastructure projects across British Columbia. This includes overseeing design, permitting, construction, and commissioning, with a strong focus on underground electrical work and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of EV fast charger projects across BC, in both urban and rural environments.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

  • Oversee design, construction, and commissioning, including underground electrical and associated civil work.

  • Coordinate grid connections, permitting, and site approvals with local municipalities and utility providers.

  • Ensure compliance with BC Electrical Code, WorkSafeBC regulations, and applicable utility standards.

  • Support Indigenous engagement, environmental reviews, and permitting as required.

  • Track milestones, KPIs, and provide progress updates to internal stakeholders and regulators.

  • Prepare documentation including site plans, permit applications, construction packages, and close-out reports.

  • Contribute to long-term electrification planning at the program level.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Registration as a P.Eng. or EIT in BC is an asset.

  • Minimum of 9 years of project management experience in infrastructure or construction.

  • Familiarity with BC Electrical Code and permitting processes in British Columbia.

  • Experience working with municipal utilities or public infrastructure projects.

  • Knowledge of underground electrical construction, civil coordination, and utility service connections.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

  • PMP certification is preferred.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with ability to travel throughout BC.

Must-Have Skills:
  • Experience with BC Electrical Code and permitting in British Columbia.

  • Experience coordinating with municipal utilities or public infrastructure partners.

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with travel across BC.

  • Knowledge of underground electrical construction and civil/utility coordination.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • P.Eng or EIT designation in BC.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Proficiency with project management software/tools.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
