Qualifications

Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? We are recruiting for a Project Manager / Estimator to join our Security Technologies team at our Victoria office.

Be part of a team that designs and delivers complex security systems for critical infrastructure—including police stations, hospitals, and hydroelectric dams—that help keep our communities safe.

This is not an IT position

Your responsibilities

  • Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
  • Manage all areas of the project including, contract management, financials, schedules, labour requirements, materials, deficiencies, etc.
  • Estimate project costs, changes, and submit tenders
  • Complete required paperwork for billing, and ensure payment is received
  • Review reports and provide analytics to project team
  • Arrange for project manuals to be completed
  • Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and sent to the owner
  • Report to the Operations Manager and work closely with the field team and with the assigned office support (coordinators, designers, technicians, and accounting) to achieve project performance, budget and schedule targets

Your experience and skills

  • 3+ years of project management and estimating experience in related construction / electrical technologies field
  • Solid knowledge of Security Systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection
  • Trades qualification and / or electrical TQ, an asset
  • Good computer skills. Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Procore and Accubid, an asset
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to interact with project stakeholders, other project manager / estimators, field team, and office support team
  • Strong organization and time management skills

Salary range : $85,000-$100,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
