This opportunity can be tailored to an experienced Project Manager ready to expand their technical and leadership capabilities to a Senior Project Manager who can lead complex portfolios, strengthen client relationships, and mentor developing professionals.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams on environmental site assessment, contaminated-site remediation, reclamation, risk assessment, construction support, and regulatory closure projects throughout Canada. Depending on your experience, you may lead a portfolio of projects independently or manage complex, multi-site programs involving technical specialists, field teams, subcontractors, regulators, and client representatives.

At MEMS, project management is more than tracking schedules and budgets. It is about understanding the environmental challenge, building the right team, helping clients make informed decisions, and delivering technically sound, commercially responsible, and defensible outcomes.

  • Brownfield redevelopment and site-closure planning;
  • Pre-reclamation assessments and detailed site assessments;
  • Reclamation, revegetation, vegetation monitoring, and site maintenance programs;
  • Reclamation certificate and Certificate of Restoration support;
  • Construction environmental monitoring and contractor coordination;
  • Regulatory submissions, database reporting, and project closeout; and
  • Multi-site environmental portfolios for energy, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, government, and other clients.

What You Will Accomplish

Deliver Successful Projects

  • Translate client objectives and contractual commitments into practical scopes, work plans, budgets, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Lead projects through planning, execution, monitoring, change management, reporting, and closeout.
  • Coordinate technical specialists, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and other contributors so that responsibilities and timelines are clear.
  • Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client expectations.
  • Identify emerging issues early and implement or recommend practical recovery strategies.
  • Ensure deliverables are technically sound, complete, consistent, and defensible.
  • Interpret historical, published, regulatory, and site-specific information to develop a clear understanding of site conditions.
  • Develop and communicate conceptual site models, key environmental issues, data gaps, and recommended next steps.
  • Plan and oversee site assessment, remediation, reclamation, monitoring, and closure activities.
  • Compile, interpret, and communicate technical findings through reports, presentations, work plans, and regulatory submissions.
  • Develop practical, risk-informed environmental management and remedial strategies appropriate to the site and client objectives.
  • Review technical deliverables and regulatory submissions at a level appropriate to your experience and professional qualifications.

Manage Financial and Commercial Performance

  • Develop realistic estimates, budgets, forecasts, billing plans, and cost-to-complete projections.
  • Track actual costs, commitments, progress, accruals, milestones, and project risks.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance and operational leaders to support accurate billing, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
  • Manage scope changes through timely documentation, client communication, authorization, and implementation.
  • Contribute technical and project-delivery insight to proposals, fee estimates, work plans, and contract reviews.

Build Trusted Client Relationships
