Salary: $100,000 - $170,000 annually

Summary of the Role:

The Technical Architect is responsible for designing functional technology solutions as well as software development and implementation. Our Technical Architects typically design complex solutions based on clients’ requirements and work on a range of different projects with multi-functional teams. You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity with the ability to translate complex requirements to all audiences.

In this role, your major responsibilities will be to:

• Identify core technical needs of the client, research existing technical infrastructure and technologies.
• Provide technical designs and options by gathering functional and non-functional requirements related to compliance, performance, security, reliability, technical aspects that are compatible with the technical environment.
• Specify the requirements and plans of the solution in detail that will address the business needs of the client.
• Propose methods to alleviate potential constraints and risks related to performance, reliability, usability, supportability, security, and deployment.
• Provide design blueprints of product major modules, module interactions, and its critical components.
• Create architectural prototypes that cover significant problems and address major architectural risks.
• Ensure technical decisions are effectively communicated to both stakeholders and technical staff.
• Lead the development team through the development process by specifying architecture changing requirements, mentoring tech lead and developers, writing code examples, and setting quality standards and ensuring adherence, and managing change.
• Manage the project’s technical architecture through the entire project lifecycle.
• May be required to act as senior developer to design, write, test customize code.

To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:

• 4+ years’ experience as a Technical Architect, with ideally 10+ years in IT.
• Experience and career progression in Developer, Tech Lead, and Architect roles.
• University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Technical College/Institute Diploma preferred.
• Experience with leading team building solutions using modern technologies and platforms: e.g.
• Languages: ASP.NET, Angular, Vue, React, C#, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, Python, Node.js, .NET, Spring.
• Databases: Postgres, MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, Redis.
• Experience working with enterprise level technical solutions involving multiple stakeholders as a consultant to design, build and evolve technical solutions.
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies such as virtualization, storage, containerization, cloud, networking & security fundamentals (AWS, MS Azure, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Experience working in an Agile environment and how it relates to DevOps processes.
• Understanding of DevOps processes and experience using CI/CD tools that support automation.
• Some understanding of enterprise architecture principles and knowledge of EA frameworks such as TOGAF.
